The TIME has come!!

I got a teaching job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will be teaching junior high school. It's a little different for me but I think I'll be able to keep up. I found out about a week or two ago that I got the job and I signed my letter of intent this week. I will be teaching Biology and Integrated Science. I'm super nervous but super excited as well. This is going to be a new experience for me but I am up for the challenge. I am hoping I am teaching 7th grade Integrated Science because I have a good friend Leslie Alford teaching that same subject and since she's AMAZING at what she does I'd love to pull ideas or bounce ideas off her.

Ok so drum roll please.............................................Churchill Junior High in Salt Lake is where I'm teaching. Yes I'm staying in Utah for the time being. I may go back and get my Master's in the next year or two. But for now TEACHING here I come.

Also I purchased my first car. Brand spankin new!

I DID IT!!! i TOOK THE PLUNGE.....

For all of you thinking I got engaged I'm sorry to burst your bubble. But that's not my amazing news. The great news is that I bought a car. I did it!!! It was very nerve racking because it's such a huge decision. I am the proud owner of a Nissan Sentra SL. It is black on black. I just can't believe I did it. I went test driving again after many test drives and drove this brand new 2010 and loved it. I worked with Ken Garff Nissan and because of Orri I got my car for $40 more than wholesale. So I did good. I couldn't have done it without Lyndi spending her whole saturday night and the dealership and Orri asking them every question in the book. It's crazy having a car that I don't need to worry if I'm going to walk out the next morning to find a flat tire. Yes a couple fridays ago that happened to me at 7 am. Good thing I'm a great tire changer now. :) I still worry something might happen to my car. But that's just because I've had a few cars break. This should really last me a while but now I have to budget like crazy if I want to go play or travel. It's a give and take. Maybe one day in the future I'll decide to take another big plunge.

Time out of school

So here's what's been going on the last couple weeks.

Well work has been great. Not to busy and not to slow. I started a third job as a tutor for a kid who does well in swim and loves triathlons but hates school. It's been a challenge but fun because I adore his family. I have known the Bowcuts for years. Orri and Ashly are still in Nebraska but they find out at the end of this month if Orri will continue on in the military or if they will be getting out and moving somewhere new. Fingers crossed for them. Mom is doing better and still taking care of Briana and Brandon.

We had a wonderful Christmas with the four of us. I'm pretty sure Bri got lots of clothes. What more could a girl ask for right. :) She is 16 and has her drivers permit. Brandon is 17 almost 18. They are getting so old. My mom has done a fantastic job with them.

As for me I just returned from a wonderful trip to Cali and Las Vegas. Pictures will be up shortly to show for it. Now I am getting ready for my 24 birthday and the next adventure. I have made a goal for the new year to go to two new cities in the US and one place outside of the US. I'm hoping to stick to it. That doesn't mean I won't be going to old favorites as well. I am starting to apply for teaching jobs now. So if anyone knows of Chemistry teaching jobs let me know, doesn't matter what state they are in.

Time is flying by after graduating in April. I'm hoping the winter months go by quickly. We have had both my mom's car and my car break down many times this winter already and it just started. I'm thinking of buying a new car but it's such a big commitment. Kind of like a boyfriend. Just kidding.
