Rachel left us all.

Well this past summer Rachel left us all to go on a mission in Puerto Rico. I just got a letter and she is loving it, even though they kiss everyone on the cheek even if they are hot and sweaty. She left the day todd(her twin) came home from his mission so we got to be her family for the day.

What an experience the Mtc is when you are dropping off. The spirit is so intense and emotions are flying. Rachel was strong as an ox and didn't shed a tear. Ciara and me on the other hand might have shed one.

Good times at BYU!!

Well I am in my final year at byu and this semester is killing me. I never thought I'd be this busy. I think school and work is all that I do. I like it though. It's a lot of fun. :)
I still have time to go out with friends every once in a while. I love my girls. I can't believe we are all growing up and moving on. Well mel its going to be me, you and Kristi left. Ciara is engaged, Rachel is on a mission, Whit is getting married too. What is the world coming to?

3. How could this website be useful as a teacher? How could it be useful for your students?

It could be useful for both teachers and students because the students could be connected to the teachers network and the teacher could put assignments on delicious. They could also put the websites they need to post on.

Students can use websites in their network to show their teachers their homework and that they understand concepts while the teacher is helping other students and to help with different subjects in school.

Remote Access Questions:

1. Pick some of Mr. Fisher's blog entries and read them. What are some of the ways that Mr. Fisher uses technology in his classroom?

He uses blogs, email, internet messenger, and many other technologies in his classroom. I see both good to this and bad. He is promoting a “gamer” generation but what about those students who are not gamers?

2. What questions would you like to ask Mr. Fisher?

I would like to know if his blog between LA and his school were actually working. They are different times zones and I want to know if all the students actually like it.

3. What did you like about his blog?

I liked how he told what he was thinking with what he was doing in the classroom. I don’t like I would like a live stream of video going through my classroom the entire time. You don’t know if you could stop people from watching.

Blog of Proximal Development Questions:

1. Pick some of Mr. Glogowski's blog entries and read them. What are some of the ways that Mr. Glogowski uses technology in his classroom?

He uses blogs, wikis, internet, notebooks and so many other things.

2. What questions would you like to ask Mr. Glogowski?

How is he able to teach his class with not the same structure as teachers are using now?

3. What do you like about his blog?

I really liked his blog because it was his actual genuine thoughts. I like how is does not want to be the norm but wants to change it.

Blogs in Education Questions:

1. What is an aggregator?

They are programs that take your favorite blogs and put them into one program (text format).

2. Why would you want an aggregator?

I would want an aggregator to help give me more ideas and information on subjects that I am working on.

Blogger.com Questions:

1. What is a blog?

It is a website that you are able to make about whatever you want. It is supposed to be easy to use and to post onto. It should also be free.

2. Create a new post on your blog that contains the answers to these questions.

3. On a scale of 1-10, how difficult was it to create your own blog and add a post (1 easiest, 10 hardest)?

2 it was pretty simple. I am really surprised.

The assignment is on blackboard and then you need to do assignment 5.
